Wondering how to transfer from one bus to the other? If you need to take more than one bus to complete a one-way trip, ask your driver immediately for the number of free transfers you will need. Letting the driver know in advance that you need a transfer helps save you time as the driver coordinates with other buses. Riders must transfer at designated transfer points.
Riders who use a rabbitPAY method of payment (smartphone, smartcard, or paper ticket) to pay their fare can transfer between fixed route buses for free. Smartphone passes and paper tickets expire (2) consecutive hours after activation (digital pass) or being scanned (paper tickets).
Riders paying cash should alert the driver of their first bus that they need a transfer. The driver will give the rider a paper transfer ticket that will need to be scanned at the orange validator on the next bus.
A small transfer upcharge fee may apply for riders transferring between fixed routes, commuter, and microtransit. Transfers are valid for 120 minutes or two trips from first validation. Transfers are used to complete a trip across multiple routes or services and can not be used on same routes or return trips.
