Beginning March 27, 2019, paper tickets will no longer be issued or mailed. You will continue to “purchase” transportation as you have in the past. Rather than having the tickets mailed to you, you will have an electronic account and payments will be credited to it. We will continue to accept paper tickets that you may already have while we transition to our new process.

What are Ticketless Fares?

Ticketless Fares are a new way for paratransit clients to pay for a trip. This is a prepaid, client-specific account that replaces the purchase of paper tickets.

How do Ticketless Fares work?

Clients maintain a prepaid balance so that funds are available for use as payment. Funds can be added through the website, over the phone, by mail, or in person at the Zarfoss Road office. Funds must be received at least 1 business day (Mon.-Fri. Only) in advance to be available for use. The account will not be deducted until the trip is completed.

Are Ticketless Fares my only payment option?

No, you may also use cash upon boarding. Please use exact fare as our drivers are not able to give you change.

When will rabbittransit begin using Ticketless Fares? 

Monday, April 1, 2019. rabbittransit will stop selling paper tickets on March 27, 2019.

Are paper tickets still a valid form of payment? 

Yes, paper tickets are still valid and will not expire. You may exchange them for balance toward your account.

Are refunds given for unused balances? 

No, refunds will not be given. Clients can choose to donate unused funds to a client of their choice or to 3P Ride, a non-profit organization that supports the mobility needs of those who may not qualify for traditional transportation funding sources.

How can I purchase transportation for my account?

Funds can be added through the website above using a credit card. Or you can pay through mail by downloading the form below or calling a representative to mail them you (1-800-632-9063. You can also purchase transportation in person at the rabbittransit office at 415 N Zarfoss Drive, York. Funds must be received at least 1 business day (Mon.-Fri. Only) in advance to be available for use. The account will not be deducted until the trip is completed.

Can I purchase transportation for someone else?

Yes. When you purchase transportation online, simply enter the name and address of the recipient as the “shipping” address and the amount will be credited toward their account.
