Commuter Services is a partner organization of rabbittransit's that provides free services to employees and employers concerning commuting alternatives. It is a professionally staffed organization funded by federal Congestion Mitigation & Air Quality funds. Through its free services, it works to reduce traffic congestion by helping commuters find alternatives and by reaching out to employers so they can help their workforce find those options. Using ridesharing and transportation alternatives helps improve air quality, and fewer cars in rush hour can mean safer highways, too.
Commuter services has a confidential ridesharing database of more than 20,000 names in a nine-county region. They assist in partnering employees for carpools and vanpools or identifying transit options.
